The Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi has ceased operations due to its merger with Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruni.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–160 dated April 30, 2025, titled “On the Establishment of the al-Khwarizmi University and Measures for Further Improvement of the Personnel Training System in the Field of Information Technologies,” the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi has ceased operations following its merger with the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruni.
Currently, the reorganization process of Urgench State University is underway.
