FACULTY OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING

     The Urganch branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies was established in 2005 and is managed under the name of the Faculty of Information Technologies. In 2005, M. Sharipov was appointed dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies. In 2006-2007, E. Koshchanov worked as the dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies. In the first years of the faculty, students were admitted in "Informatics and IT (by fields)" and "Professional education fields". The faculty has "Informatics and IT", "Natural and general sciences", "Humanities and socio-economic sciences" departments. The "Informatics and Mathematics" department was separated from the "Natural and general sciences" department. In 2007-2008, Sh. Sadullayeva was appointed dean of the "Information Technologies" faculty. In 2008-2010, K. Yaqubov worked as the dean of the faculty. During 2010-2015, Yu. Saidov worked as the dean of the faculty. In 2010, D. Kuryazov was the deputy dean for academic affairs, and M. Rajapova was the dispatcher and secretary. In 2011-2013, S. Jafarov worked as the deputy dean for academic affairs and M. Matnazarov as the deputy dean for spiritual affairs. The name of the "Information Technologies" faculty was changed to "Computer Engineering" in 2013. In 2013, the "Telecommunication Engineering" department was separated from the "Natural and general sciences" department. The name of the "Informatics and Mathematics" department was changed to "Information and educational technologies". In 2013, the direction "Informatics and IT" was changed to "Computer engineering", the direction "Vocational education" was changed to the direction "Vocational education in the field of ICT" and the direction "Telecommunication technologies" was opened. In 2013-2015, Kh. Otamuratov worked as the deputy dean for academic affairs, and in 2013-2016, K. Bobojonov worked as the deputy dean for "Spiritual Affairs". In 2014, the faculty accepted students in the direction of "Software engineering". In 2015, the Department of "Software Engineering" was established at the Faculty of Computer Engineering. In 2015-2016, O. Allamov worked as the dean of computer engineering, and O. Khalmuratov worked as the deputy dean for academic affairs. In 2016, the Department of Information Security was opened at the Faculty of Computer Engineering. In 2016-2017, U. Aminov was the dean of the faculty, and in 2016-2018, K. Adinaev was the deputy dean for academic affairs, and in 2016-2018, E. Avezov was the deputy dean for spiritual affairs. . In 2017, O. Allaberganov was appointed as the dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering. In 2018, the Urganch branch of TATU named after Muhammad al-Khorazmi was divided into two faculties: "Computer Engineering" and "Telecommunication Technologies and Vocational Education".
