The "Director's Cup" chess competition has ended
As previously reported, in order to implement the tasks of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-4954 dated January 14, 2021 “On measures to further develop and popularize chess and improve the system of training chess players” and to widely publicize and promote chess as an intellectual sport, the “Director's Cup” competition with a prize fund of 20 million was organized at the Urgench branch of TUTU.
The “Director's Cup” competition was held in 2 stages from October 25 to November 22, 2024 among the faculty, staff and students of the branch (separately for men and women).
Today, a ceremony was held to award the winners of the “Director's Cup” in the chess sport. The winners were awarded prizes in the following order (separately for men and women):
1st place 5 million soums,
2nd place 3 million soums,
3rd place 2 million soums.
