The department began its activity in August 2005 under the name "Informatics and Information Technologies" as a graduating department. In 2005-2007, the department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor F. Yusupov. In 2007-2010, the department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences M. Sharipov. Since 2009, in order to form basic knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies, the department was renamed as "Information Technologies". In 2010-2012, the department was headed by candidate of technical sciences B.S. Rakhimov. In 2013-2017, the department was headed by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences A.A. Reyimberganov. In 2018-2019, the department was headed by Ph.D. OU. Khalmuratov. Since 2019, the department has been headed by Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences O.K. Khuzhaev. Currently, 26 professors-teachers work at the Department of Information Technology. The chair has 2 computer labs, where 3 scientific support staff help in the effective teaching of students.

Research work and direction of the department:

The department conducts its scientific activities in the specialty 05.01.04 - Mathematical and software support for computers, complexes and computer networks (in technical disciplines). Currently, the department is conducting scientific research in the following areas of this specialty.

• Method of design and analysis of programs and software systems, models and algorithms, expression, testing and validation of their equivalents (clause 1);

• Method, model, algorithm, programming languages ​​and software tools for organizing the relationship between the program and software systems (clause 3);

• Database and knowledge management systems (item 4);

• Human-machine interface; methods, models, algorithms and software applications for computer graphics, image processing, virtual reality systems, multimedia communication (clause 7);


In the 2021/2022 academic year, Associate Professor Khudaiberganov Temur Arturovich successfully defended and received a PhD from the Seoul National University of Science and Technology, in South Korea. Assistant of the Department Iskandarov Sanzhar Kuvondikovich in November 2021 at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies successfully defended his research work and received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in technical sciences. In November 2021, the senior lecturer of the department Rakhimbaev Hikmat Jumanazarovich received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in technical sciences based on the results of research work.


The faculty and undergraduates of the department conduct scientific research in the following areas:

Currently, the department conducts research on the following topics within the framework of scientific and technical projects and scientific works:


- Development of a software tool for intellectual analysis for decision support systems;

- Optimization of algorithms for processing video images of dynamic objects in a video surveillance system;

- Models and software for analyzing large amounts of data based on parallel and distributed computing technologies
